Welcome the history of firefighting website. Coming from a large family with a history of involvement with the firefighting services it gave me great pleasure in opening this firefighting history and firefighting collectible site to honour those who have fought to give the likes of both you and me a much safer life. My great grandfather was a firefighter in the early 1900’s when fire fighting machinery and equipment was relatively primitive and I have had some very humorous and surreal stories told me of his experiences dating back to those days. I have included on the website a fire collectibles store which has an amazing selection of firefighting memorabilia from the days of old. I must admit I have a passion for collecting the antique firefighting leather helmets with the leather fronts and the eagle adorning the top. You are more than welcome to browse the site and I hope you enjoy.
